Origin:
Selected vineyards in different plots in the Peñafiel and Curiel valleys at an altitude of 750 metres, with sandy soil containing siliceous rock, and in Fompedraza at an altitude of 910 metres, with soil containing limestone.
Varietal: Tempranillo.
Aging: 24 months in french and american oak barrels.
Alcoholic content: 14,5% Vol.
Visual: Intense garnet colour with ruby hues at the rim and medium-high depth, clean and bright.
Nose: Primary aromas of ripe fruit (plums, blackberries) accompanied by aromas linked to barrel ageing, notes of cocoa, sweet spices (cinnamon, cloves).
Palate: Elegant and structured, with fine, polished tannins that are well integrated. Acidity that brings freshness, but moderated by ageing. Notes of red and black fruits with toasted hints reminiscent of the nose (coffee, spices) from well-integrated wood and a mineral finish reflecting the origin of the grape (vineyards on limestone soils). Long, velvety finish.
